For many older elevator gears, the control can be switched to precise detection of position and speed. For modernizations – such as control replacement, safety upgrades or comfort improvements – reliable feedback of car movement is crucial. Modern encoders increasingly replace classic shaft copying via magnetic strips because they work more accurately, are more installation-friendly and permanently stable.
FUKA offers the subsequent adaptation of encoders for existing elevator systems – precisely fitted, system-specific and with minimal installation effort.
What the encoder is used for
A retrofitted encoder continuously provides the control with position and speed data. This is the basis for:
- Exact floor approaches and smooth deceleration
- Safe door zone detection
- Modern speed monitoring
- Implementation or retrofitting of current safety and comfort functions
- Digital shaft copying without complex magnet or flag installations
Depending on the system concept, ride comfort, control quality and monitoring can be significantly improved.
Our solution: system-specific encoder retrofitting
We develop and manufacture mechanically coordinated adapter and mounting kits that enable the installation of an encoder on existing systems – without having to replace the complete drive.
The mounting is designed project-specifically so that it fits exactly to the respective machine, shaft or handwheel and the installation situation. This reduces downtime and simplifies installation.
