Rope drum drives are the ideal solution when shaft space is limited or a counterweight cannot be provided. The cabin is attached directly to the rope and the drive winds the suspension ropes in a single layer onto the drum. This allows the entire shaft cross-section to be used for the cabin - particularly advantageous for modernizations, in narrow shafts or with special building geometries.

On request, you can receive completely designed drive units for drum elevators from us - tailored to your system and delivered ready for installation. This includes:
